Precious and fragile: Porcelain scent bottles from the Giordano Art Collections, Alba

The lecture will concentrate on the collection of Gianni Giordano in Alba and especially on the European scent bottles which represent a wonderful selection of the main European factories, chiefly Meissen, the German factories and a nice selection of Italian examples. The collection is also remarkable for the very special British porcelain examples which were in important historical collections and for comparisons with scent bottles made by the Parisian Samson manufactory
