Inspiring Walt Disney: The Animation of French Decorative Arts
Wolf Burchard, Associate Curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Helen Jacobsen, Executive Director of the Attingham Trust
We are delighted to welcome Wolf Burchard and Helen Jacobsen to our next Living Room Lecture. Wolf has curated the exhibition Walt Disney, the Animation of French Decorative Arts, which has just closed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art after a hugely successful run. It is now moving to the Wallace Collection, where Helen joins him as co-curator, and the two of them will be discussing the genesis of the exhibition and exploring its themes. Drawing on unpublished Disney material and the decorative arts collections from both museums, they will be highlighting the surprising and enchanting connections between them.
