FPS LIVING ROOM LECTURES

SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, 20 October 2024, 18:00PM (BST) / 13:00PM (EDT)

After decade of work at the Porzellansammlung (Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden), the innovative digital platform, ‘The Royal Dresden Porcelain Collection’ launched earlier this year. The platform presents almost 9000 Japanese and Chinese ceramics from the collection of Augustus the Strong (1670–1730). For the first time, these objects were identified, digitized and researched as part of an international project. Together with the historical inventories from the 18th century, this important collection is widely accessible to the public now.

The team from the Porzellansammlung, Cora Würmell, Karolin Randhahn and Ruth Sonja Simonis, will provide an exclusive insight into the platform and show tips and tricks for the various research options for the Augustean collection.
