FPS SYMPOSIUM – Everyday Rococo: Madame de Pompadour and the Arts

POSTPONED: 3-4 December 2021, The Wallace Collection

Dear Members,

It is with great regret that we have had to postpone the Madame de Pompadour conference, originally planned on 3-4 December. The COVID-19 situation in the UK is still too difficult for us to be able to guarantee as large a live and international audience as we would like, and we want as many of our members as possible to be able to participate in this conference. We are re-scheduling the two day conference to next summer.

In the meantime, we will go ahead with a live and virtual party celebrating the launch of Rosalind Savill’s book Everyday Rococo: Madame de Pompadour and Sèvres Porcelain. This will take place with a champagne reception at Bonhams New Bond Street on the 8th of December from 17:30. Rosalind Savill will then speak to us all on her research and the book, a talk we will live-stream for those of you that cannot join us in person yet. We hope you will be able to join us, and links will be going out closer to the time.

With best wishes,
The French Porcelain Society
